Jaguar Xj6 Series 3 4.2 with Chromaflai paint

A very solid and very beatiful Jaguar XJ6, with full cream leather, and a £5000 chroaflair paintjob that looks just so superb on this car. This paint is described as Green to Purple, but has about 8 distinct colours in it which change as you move around the car.

It starts at grey and brown if you catch it at an accute angle, and goes thorugh blues, and greens into purples, and then back to browns and greys at acute angles again. Stunning, look with sparkle thats bigger than pearls and metallics.

The chromaflair paint (often called colour change or flip paint) alone cost over £2500. the car was done a few years ago, and although it looks absolutely beautiful in this stunning paint it is not perfect.

Abandonned project and now for sale due to space requirements. The interior needs some reassembling, and a set of bumpers.

The car was pre-MOT’d a while back, and failed on only the lack of lights - but it has been standing not.

Previous owner for 9 years if I remember correctly and I have had it for about 4 or 5.

Stunning paint always gets attention, and is so suited to this glorious curvy car. Dechromed to make the paint stand out even more.

Car has 4.2 litre straight six, with aut box - great to drive. These cars have the similar set-up to the XJS and X types, and some Aston Martins, and drive brilliantly - so much better than the modern Jaguars - really do not feel heavy and big.

Needs bumpers (I was going to fit my Tucson bodykit), with lights, and a good put back togetehr and check over - wipers,,,. Fuel system is not delivering fuel but it runs well from a can/pump combination - possibly just needs new pump/filters. Drives great when it is running.

Also has a towbar.

4.2 litre Jaguar

Jaguar 4 door saloon in awesome paint

This paint is so stunning that it really is hard to take pictures that do it justice. This is really strong paint - some so called chromaflair are diluted a lot which reduces the effect. This is because 5 litres of the actual pigment for the paint is over £100,000!!!

The car looks nice, but is not perfect, and has a couple of bubbles in a few places. It is very sound on its outer bodywork for its age, and when last inspected very very good underneath. I am devistated to be forced to sell this car, but I need the space, and would prefer to see it go to someone whom is going to get some use out of it, as I simply don’t have the time to put it back together.

This car was built for me to use myself, which is why it has had far more spent on it than its worth. When I last checked a JEC valuation on the car had it about £7500 in good, original condition. This is a classic, and can easily be insured on classic car insurance. They do make great every day cars, and the addition of a LPG gas conversion which you can find for £500 on ebay makes them economic to run on that basis. Old technology means they are cheaper on parts than more modern cars.

I also have the pepeerpot alloys that I had stripped, blasted and etch primed, ready to paint to match the car, which could be made available to the buyer at additional cost if required. I think these are 15 inch, and would also suit the car pretty well.
